Gries 5 Head

Wohoo!!! Guess what the DHL guy dropped off this afternoon?

A Gries 5 Head in black and wheat grill. I'm so excited to hear the head in her full glory:)

In my hurry to test the head, I forgot to connect a speaker to the speaker jack. I didn't even realize my mistake until the client who'd ordered the head texted me after he saw my post and pics of the head at a local musician forum.

I'd arranged to meet Cat and Abi in town before St E but had to cancel on them so I could check on the head to see if I'd damaged the output transformer.

Thank God the head works fine. Matter of fact, she sounds fantastic!!! She has a thick and raunchy tone ala a Tweed deluxe and is very touch sensitive. I like it:)!!!!

The head will be in my possession for just the next couple of hours coz the actual owner can’t wait to collect her and give her a whirl in the comfort of his own home:)

Thank God for the safe delivery of the head and that I didn’t blow the OT :D
