Welcome 2007 :)!!!
Wohoo!!! Welcome to my 1st post of 2007.I’ve been swamped with work since returning from the prayer kickoff. I’m so grateful for His daily provisions.
I’m offering a 15% discount for my repair services as a “thank you” to my clients for their business, support and friendship. I’m working my fingers to the bone and loving every minute of it. I’ve got a guitar to work on almost everyday. Some of my recent repairs have been challenging and frustrating but always fulfilling.
Now as much as I love working on guitars, I would like to take some time off to brush up on my Nestcasting. Ian, Kim Cheong and myself are very excited about the upcoming Netcasting course. We’d met up and discussed in detail about the training. Our original intention was to keep the class small. 20 people but Ian felt we should open the class to fit 40 folks. I so know that God will do a mighty work. The enemy is already at work sowing miscommunication, misunderstanding and all sorts of funky stuff. Please pray for everyone involved in Netcasters to be united, honest and transparent. This will be so awesome for our church and especially our Filipino ministry.
We had a miscommunication last Sunday and I didn’t get the sign up forms till after service and by the time I went to the lobby of the Khoo auditorium, most of the folks have left for the canteen. Oh well………
Kim Cheong and myself had planned to start a Netcaster training last year but it didn’t come to pass and I definitely see and feel the need to start one a.s.a.p. for the new year!!! God willing, we should have 4 classes every year. We just have to train up more folks and equip them to teach the course.
It’s been a fantastic start to the New Year on the work front. As mentioned, I’ve been working like a dog. I’ve also intensified my apartment hunt and have more or less decided to settle in Bukit Panjang much to the dismay of my guitar repair clients. All of them are so used to coming to the east and the ECP is a much nicer drive than the PIE and BKE.
I fell in love with an apartment in Bt Panjang last night and God willing, I’ll be a 1st time home owner soon.
I had the privilege to work on a couple of celebrity guitars this month. The guitar pictured above has appeared on MTV and belongs to a very popular local musician. She looks beat up and rightly so. She’s been used and abused. The guitar’s older than yours truly by at least a decade. One of my recent jobs belong to a mover in the local entertainment industry as well.
I can’t stop sharing how blessed and fortunate I feel to be able to be able to do what I enjoy for a living. God is goodJ
Anyway, I’d better turn in. Got a long day ahead. Have to report back to camp later. All the way to Tengah Air Base again……. But if I move to Bt Panjang, it’s just a short hop away :)
