Ramblings 04.12.07

It’s been ages since I posted some thoughts and I would just like to share a wonderful blessing that happened yesterday.

It was just another ho-hum day and I was expecting a client to drop by at 4pm to collect his guitars. Well, he texted me at about 2:30pm and asked if I could deliver the guitars to his office. No problemo. Besides, I think I need to get out more.

I hustled down and spent some time checking out his beautiful office located opposite Far East Square before I lost my way trying to locate Raffles Place MRT.

Thank God for my new Sony Ericsson W810i cell phone that plays excellent mp3 files. I’d just gotten the phone a while back and have been listening to on-line sermons and a bunch of praise and worship music. I’d also just uploaded some sermons a couple of days ago and have been looking forward to listening to them.

Here I was lost in Shenton Way, and listening to one of my favorite preachers when he mentioned:

“And I just got an e-mail this week from a girl who writes, says she’s been out giving the Gospel to people out on the streets. She was blessed by the message “What is the Gospel?” She said some of my friends have been there personally at the Harvest worship services and one of them can’t stop talking about his experiences there to me. Thank God for your ministry and thank God for the technology to connect U.S.A. and Singapore so we can be blessed through the sharing of His Word. So this girl named Annie, watched our service last week on the Internet, and she’s applying those principles out on the street in Singapore. That’s what technology can do. You can reach a lot of people.”

Wohoo!!!! No prizes for guessing who this Annie is and her friend who can’t stop talking about his experiences at Harvest Christian Fellowship!!!

I can’t wait to share this info and the sermon with Ian, pastor Mike, Kim Cheong and Hwee Min. I’m so excited I don’t think I can sleep.

The preacher brought up Annie as an example to encourage his congregation to be regular witnesses for His Kingdom and Glory. And you know what, I would like to believe the Lord is definitely using his church and ministry to reach the world. The preacher in question holds regular evangelistic events and thousands come to Christ at these events.

One of my dreams is to actually take some time off and be part of his “crusades”. He’ll be holding one of his crusades on Sept 23 in NYC and God willing, I’ll be there.

I miss the U.S.A. I didn’t join the Redicks this year coz they have a punishing schedule and didn’t visit any of their relatives except spend some time with Lisa’s parents who incidentally celebrated their Golden anniversary!!! What a milestone in the life of anyone. 50 years of marital bliss!!!!

I don’t think I’ll ever live to see my Golden anniversary. Oh well……………….

Welp, I’ve got loads to share but I’d better hit the sack so I can be fresh and be ready for the spiritual battle later this evening.
